A 40-metre vertical rock cut face adjacent to L&T's Birampura Pump House in Rajgarh, MP, posed an immediate threat of rockfall onto the structure and site personnel. Construction could not proceed until the slope was made safe — and it had to happen fast.
ViRaj Engineers designed and installed a comprehensive temporary rockfall netting system covering 8,235 sqm of exposed cut face. A concrete retaining wall was constructed at the base to catch any intercepted material, while high-tensile netting was anchored directly into the rock face at engineered intervals to contain falling debris.
The slope was secured within programme, allowing L&T's construction activities to resume without interruption. The combined supply and installation value was Rs. 26.17 Lakhs. Zero incidents were recorded during the protection period.
“Speed and safety don't have to be a trade-off. On this site, we delivered both.
